8B - Literacy - Students must finish writing and memorizing their speech.
All students will present their speeches on Monday February 17
8B - Literacy - Students are working on a novel in a small group. They must complete a section of their novel study booklet for each Literature Circle Meeting. All groups have completed their third meeting, and they should have read approximately half of their book by now. The fourth meeting will take place on Monday February 10, 2020, and the fifth and final meeting will take place on Tuesday February 18, 2020. Students must complete a section of the Literature Circle booklet, and contribute to the small group discussion. Students must complete the reading on time in order to be successful.
8B - Math - Students have already completed the units on Order of Operations and Pythagorean Theory. Next week we will begin working on Rate, Ratio and Percent. After that, we will
be working on and completing the unit on Surface Area and Volume before the March
break. Students must review their area formulas from first term to be successful in this
unit.
8A - Math - algebraic equations - isolating the unknown variable - complete a check, distributive properties
8A - novel study assigned - due Feb. 5th (new due date) - extension for some - final date is Monday
